Garage Door Opener & Signal Device Hardware

View Other Parts:

Pneumatic controls are used as safety devices in commercial and industrial settings for when the door closes. The air hose on the bottom of the door detects an increase in pressure if the door hits something. The opener then reverses rather than causing injury or damaging the door.

Pneumatic controls should be set to shut off when the door is about two inches off the floor. This keeps the door from opening back up when the bottom of the door hits the floor.
